Data protection and privacy

This notice explains how OmnioIQ Limited handles personal data. It covers this website and the OmnioIQ platform.

Our role

OmnioIQ acts in two distinct capacities, and which one applies changes your rights and who you should contact:

• As a controller — for data we decide the purposes of ourselves: website visitors, sales and support enquiries, and prospective employees.
• As a processor — for operational data processed on behalf of our customers, such as delivery, allocation and tracking data relating to their workers and recipients. Here our customer is the controller, and requests about that data should be directed to them.

Data we handle as a controller

• Contact details you give us when you email, request a demo or apply for a role — name, email address, organisation and the content of your message.
• Technical data about your visit to this website, such as pages requested and approximate location derived from IP address.
• Records of our correspondence with you.

Lawful bases

• Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries, operating and securing the website, and business development, balanced against your rights.
• Contract — steps necessary to enter into or perform an agreement with you or your organisation.
• Legal obligation — where retention or disclosure is required by law.
• Consent — where we ask for it explicitly, which you may withdraw at any time.

Platform data

Where we process operational data for a customer, we do so under that customer's instructions and a written agreement. The platform provides GDPR-compliant customer tracking with enterprise security, and location and recipient data are handled only for the purposes of fulfilling and evidencing the delivery or job concerned.

Sub-processors and hosting

We use third parties to deliver the service. Our infrastructure is hosted with DigitalOcean.

International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on an appropriate safeguard — an adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses together with any additional measures the transfer requires.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. Enquiry correspondence is kept for the duration of the business relationship and a reasonable period afterwards. Platform data is retained according to the agreement with the relevant customer.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address it first.
